We found love adventuring the world together…
And now we want to celebrate our greatest adventure yet with you.
Our story began in 2024 at a rooftop bar in Berkeley, California, where we quickly bonded over our golden retrievers, love of adventure, and endless yapping. We fell in love somewhere between the redwoods of Northern California, cliffs of Yosemite, shores of Lake Tahoe, vineyards of Napa, sunsets of Cabo, bright lights of Las Vegas, and parks of Mexico City. Little did we know, our adventures were just beginning…
In January 2025, Megan got word of a new assignment to Aviano Air Base… in Northern Italy. Unsure exactly what the move would mean for us, we secured approval for Amy to work remotely, vowed to give it our best shot, and let the universe take it from there. That July, we packed Megan’s bags, a few of Amy’s, and boarded a flight to Venice with Holland in-hand.
The Italian learning curve was steep. But a few allergic reactions, language barriers, housing mishaps, and a lot of airline miles later, Northern Italy began to feel like home—and our little family was taking shape before our eyes. During our first year abroad, we defeated Italian bureaucracy and secured a coveted Digital Nomad Visa for Amy. We also traveled—a lot. Our growing fridge-magnet collection proudly serves as the memory book of our adventures across Italy, Slovenia, Austria, Croatia, Great Britain, Spain, and Switzerland, highlighted by the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milano Cortina.
Somewhere within those adventures, we started to become obsessed with alpine lakes: Bled, Como, Barcis, Misurina, Braies, Sorapis, Garda, Maggiore, Lugano, and dozens more we can’t pronounce. So perhaps it wasn’t entirely surprising when Megan popped the question (literally) on Lake Garda in May 2026. It was only fitting that Amy made it a package deal a few weeks later in the Dolomites, beside the emerald waters of Lake Braies.
Our next adventure: celebrating lakeside with you! Alpine lakes hold a special place in our hearts and our story, as do you. We can’t imagine beginning our next chapter anywhere else, or with anyone other than the people who helped us get here.
